Well Thanksgiving is over and Christmas is well on its way and quickly too! We had a wonderful time with our family at our house. Man that is alot of hard work. But well worth it. We have so much to be thankful for. Every breathe we have is a gift and we should be thankful. We had an opportunity to go and visit a couple over the Thanksgiving weekend. They have no family and no kids and the wife is dying with cancer. What a wonderful opportunity for our family to be able to minister to the needs of others. They were so sweet and such a blessing to us. Linda is worried about her husband and what he will do when she is gone. She is from Germany and they have been married for 47 years. They met when he was stationed over there. She was a great reminder to us to be thankful for our health. We take it for granted, daily. Ashtyn colored her a picture and took her 3 gems out of her collection to make her feel better. We enjoyed visiting with them and offering help with anything they needed. We will be going by now on a regular basis just to visit and check on them. And hopefully they will allow us to do somethings for them. I am sure it is hard for them to ask for help, so I think just showing up and starting to do some things will be best.
We also went down and introduced ourselves to our newest neighbor and took her a pie plate and stuff to make a dessert. She was very thankful and we are excited about getting to know her better. Gone are the days when you knew all your neighbors and you visited and actually knew things about each other. I think back when I was a kid growing up on Oxmoor Rd. and I could tell you the name of all our neighbors. We had relationships with these people and we loved them and they loved us. We still have relationships with many of them after all these years and most of us have moved. But maybe if we make an effort, our street can be the same for us. It has to start some where and why not with us. I have other things to update on, but that will come on another day. Thanks for reading and keeping in touch with us!

Elise is a Sr. in College and is the Baptist Campus Ministry President again this year. She is on the Dean's List and wants to open a girls home one day. She loves to be outside, softball, the mountains, and laughing.
Ashtyn is in 4th grade and loves animals, she wants to be a Vet. She is more girly girl than Elise. She loves pink and likes fru fru stuff. She likes dance, softball and anything her sissy does. She is an honor roll student and is wise beyond her years. She makes us laugh alot!
